Wanlin Zhang, D.D.S.
Dr. Wanlin Zhang earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine, where she was honored with the American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award as the sole recipient in her graduating class. Before attending dental school, Dr. Zhang conducted research at Massachusetts General Hospital, investigating bone metabolism and the effects of calcium and phosphate on bone physiology. Her research experience sparked her passion for periodontal regeneration and implant therapy, laying the foundation for her future specialty training. Dr. Zhang completed her specialty training in Periodontology through the Advanced Education Program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Certificate in Periodontology. During her residency, she gained extensive experience in periodontal plastic surgery, dental implant therapy, bone regeneration, and the management of complex periodontal conditions. In recognition of her commitment to education and mentorship, Dr. Zhang was also named the Outstanding Teaching Resident in Predoctoral Periodontics for her dedication to teaching and guiding dental students. Dr. Zhang is actively involved in international academic exchange and collaboration. She has previously participated in academic exchange programs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, one of China’s leading centers for oral healthcare and dental education. Dr. Zhang is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, functional smiles through personalized treatment.
